This bocal (crook) made by Paetzold by Kunath is suitable to use on Paetzold contrabass and sub great bass recorders. It is longer than those supplied as standard by the factory (160mm over the body). The extra length gives greater adjustment for the player resulting in better vision of the music and conductor, not just the back of the instrument! Barrett Recorders supplies contra and sub great bass instruments with this bocal as standard due to their popularity.
